We began our major renovation without design advice, thinking it was a luxury we couldn't afford on our tight budget. But, as we wrestled with seemingly unsolvable layout challenges in our kitchen and bathroom, we realized we needed help. When we found Becca we were somewhat panicked, but she immediately jumped into action and proposed elegant and interesting solutions to our layout challenges within a few days, enabling us to share clear drawings with our contractor and keep our project on schedule.

We originally thought we might only have Becca help us with layout issues, and were grateful that she was open to providing just a few hours of consultation -- no minimums, as some design firms have. However, once we saw what she could offer, we realized how worthwhile it would be to work with her throughout the renovation process. In a major renovation there are so many decisions to make, and making a wrong choice can be very costly, and making any choice is exhausting and stressful. Becca has been invaluable as a guide through it all, and without her we would have been at serious risk of making expensive mistakes.

Becca has been such a pleasure to work with. She is organized, responsive, works quickly and takes initiative to research and present options. She has smart and creative ideas about use of space, and her aesthetic sense is excellent. She has helped us figure out where a low-cost option will work well, and where it is worth spending a little more for a high-quality item, and has been very helpful in sourcing materials that work within our budget. She has listened to and aligned her suggestions with our tastes and preferences, and has been honest about when we're proposing something that aesthetically wouldn’t work or would function poorly and offers alternative options. She has offered great ideas on how to add visual interest without adding major expense, and her advice and drawings have given us the confidence to make bold choices that we wouldn’t have normally done and we're excited about. She's also a kind, relaxed, humorous person and has really helped keep the whole process fun.

Because of Becca, we are certain that our completed renovation will be functional, beautiful and interesting, and that we'll enjoy living in the spaces she has designed for many years to come.

I came to the table with ideas and a vision and Ms. Reed was able to come up with beautifully designed concepts that were also functional. Both projects were limited in their square footage but Ms. Reed presented several innovative design solutions to make the most out of every square foot to accommodate all of our wish list requirements. The entire process was enjoyable.
